Nine-song debut demo out of Buffalo, NY. SVS jam-packs each of these tracks with as many riffs as you can possibly fit into songs that rarely cross the one-minute threshold. Somehow they still find time to toss in wildly catchy breakdowns without ever coming across as macho or tough. SVS plays relentless hardcore-punk while managing to incorporate something that many bands from the area tend to lack….fun. These songs are an absolute blast! I was a little surprised by how heavy some of the lyrical subject matter gets, ranging from compassion and concern to love and introspection. It’s a noticeably different direction than the somewhat expected anger or ignorant shit I have come to expect from this style of hardcore-punk.

It was explained to me that the story behind SVS is that the band started so that the singer could play a show before turning 40 years old. With the objective accomplished, what a delight that they have decided to stick around and seem to be becoming a rather active band.
